英语的“听力原著”之中，要数电影最难。英文原声电影中的对白台词是英语民族的生活直接反映，而且言者情绪化倾向严重，较之新闻广播的演说式发言难懂得多，还由于影片音响效果的影响，甚至比洋人当面和你说的口语还难听。??如果我们能摘取电影这颗“英语听力皇冠上的明珠”，我们的耳朵在截获英语情报的时候就得心应手了：无论是在国际商业军事的谍报战中，还是诠?谟⒂锟汲〉娜獠?街小?/span>
看电影，首先要“端正目的”：是娱乐，不是学习。这才符合实用主义。
其次，必须习惯不看任何字幕。破除“精听”的桎梏，观念上必须不把所看的电影当回事，看不懂听不懂无所谓，没有人那么无聊出份考题给你做的。如果看的是电视或者VCD上的电影，无法消除字幕，那你需要看上大约10部电影来让自己的眼球上移，习惯不去瞧屏幕底部的字幕；如果看的是DVD电影，请你把字幕关掉??连英文字幕也不要，因为看英文字幕是阅读，没长听力??想想和洋人谈判的时候，他们会给咱们打字幕吗？电影提供了视觉和听觉的信息，听觉信息之中除了人物的台词对白，还包括配乐、音效等等，你听到的英语只不过是电影庞大的信息量中一小部分，因此，电影中即使有很多对白听不懂，也是不难了解电影大概情节的，换言之不影响娱乐。我看过的大多数电影，不是枪战爆炸刀光剑影，就是人类怪兽你追我赶，即使完全听不懂也能理解个八九不离十。即使是有“深度”的片子，眼睛不看字幕就会更多地接收画面信息，很大程度上弥补了听不懂造成的理解偏差。毕竟，电影是看的嘛??大胆放飞你的耳朵，捕捉电影中的英语吧！
第三，为了保证影片英语收听的海量性， 我把看过的英文原声电影的英文片名记录在EXCEL上（小TIPS，按ctrl+分号可以自动添加看电影当天日期）。有朋友反映：看了5部都听不太明白，听力没什么进步呀！ 5部太少了，进步当然不明显。当看了50的时候，接收能力就和5部的时候完全不一样了。现在我给一些电影配字幕的时候，就感到听力的提高了。
电影世界精彩无限。在我长达数页的MI记录当中，什么片子都有：有枪战爆炸的（“007”铁金刚系列），有汽车追逐的（《Speed》-《生死时速》），有怪兽怪物的（《Alien》-《异形》系列），有科幻特技的（《Matrix》-《黑客帝国》系列），有机器人的（《Terminator》-《未来战士》系列），有战争的（《Saving Private Ryan》-《雷霆救兵》），有奇幻的（《The lord of the rings》-《魔戒》系列），有爱情的（《Ghost》-《人鬼情未了》）……（请恕我不懂电影学分类，胡乱罗列一通。）
总之只要是英文的，就来者不拒??商业片艺术片照看，获奖片垃圾片全收，为的是发扬“练功狂主义”，追求数值的飙升。结果很多郁闷透顶的片子也勉强看下来了。例如那部被西方电影人当作绝对经典的《Citizen Kane》（《公民凯恩》），我看到最后竟然没有像其他观众一样睡着。也正因为这种“全盘照收”的方式，我接触到各种艺术流派，眼界为之开阔。
